Can't get any of these books I go into free apps but still can't get them can any body help me not to good on my iPad
I say delightful because I utterly enjoyed this story, but if you read your heart will be ripped out. This is a retelling like I have never read before and allowed me to see through the eyes of a character I never would have considered. It is too short and leaves you wanting more, but everything that needs to be told is told. I hope there are more stories like this to come.
When I first started reading I was a bit confused on who was who, but once I backtracked and figured it out, I literally flew through this short story (approx. 26 pages). I know it is a short story, but I felt like we didn't really get to know Beauty well enough. However, it did seem fitting since this version is truly about Leroux, the Gaston of this re-telling. I loved the author's take on him and her insight into his character and why he thought and acted the way that he did. I was completely surprised by the ending which was nice, yet I was left wanting more of something. A resolution, some magic, I am not sure, I simply felt like it was missing something. That said, if you like fairy tale re-tellings and you don't have a lot of time to read, this will be the perfect fit for you! I received a copy of this book for free.
I did not understand the purpose of this story. BATB told from the pov of the "Gaston" character, but with a tragic twist ending.
Gastone tells his side but in a different version of the tale. Just like you imagine it would be. Very sad for all.
